Transmation was established in 1964 by William Berk as a world class leader in the technology, design and manufacturing of industrial-grade calibration tools for the process professional. In 1982 Transcat was created as the distribution arm of the company and our first calibration lab was opened in Rochester, New York in 1989. Today, Transcat has 34 calibration lab locations and just over 1,400 employees.
