June 22, 2010 (Marlton, NJ)- eMaint Enterprises, a leading provider of Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS), announced that it has partnered with Brazilian-based company Loss Prevention Consulting & Training to provide in-country support for its growing client base in Brazil. Loss Prevention, a recognized leader in Total Productive Management (TPM), has been providing Maintenance and Reliability training and consulting services to companies in Brazil for the past ten years.
This partnership represents the latest chapter in an ongoing initiative by eMaint to expand its presence in the Brazilian marketplace. eMaint has been providing Maintenance Management Software to customers in Brazil since 2006. As their customer base expanded (including notable accounts such as Hospital das Clinicas in São Paulo), they recognized the need to provide native language support. This led to the translation of the eMaint web site and the addition of Portuguesespeaking representatives to their support team early in 2009.
Hiring Sergio Plaut of SPlaut Consulting as Market Development Manager last year marked the next phase of eMaint’s expansion efforts. Plaut is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English and has over 30 years of experience working for multinational corporations. Plaut’s background and experience, combined with his understanding of the cultural aspects of doing business in Brazil, has been instrumental in helping eMaint facilitate the partnership with Loss Prevention. “The Brazilian economy is growing rapidly and companies are looking for modern and more efficient ways to manage their equipment,” noted Plaut, adding, “SPlaut Consulting is very proud to be part of this process of bringing to this market a state-of-the-art and easy-to-use CMMS system from eMaint Enterprises.”
Pete Woodruff, a member of the eMaint support team who is fluent in Portuguese among other languages, works closely with many eMaint customers and prospective clients in Brazil. Working in conjunction with Plaut, Woodruff has been instrumental in the translation of the eMaint web site and system documentation into Portuguese. He is acutely aware of the unique needs of eMaint’s Brazilian clients, noting, “It is important to adapt not only to a new language, but to an entirely new culture.”
Brian Samelson, president and founder of eMaint Enterprises, is encouraged by the results of the Brazilian initiatives and plans to continue to invest in further expansion. “Our continued investment in personnel and partners of this stature underscores our level of commitment to our Brazilian customers and our desire to provide the same level of personalized service our U.S. clients have come to expect,” said Samelson.
Loss Prevention Consulting & Training has been providing TPM training and consulting services, including quality assessments and audits throughout Brazil, for over 10 years. Loss Prevention now provides sales, training, customization and support services for eMaint’s clients in Brazil.
