July’s releases are all about enhancing user experience, streamlining workflows, and empowering teams while on the go. Whether you’re managing assets from your desktop or out in the field, these updates are designed to make your work smoother and more efficient.
Let’s dive into what’s new this month!
eMaint Mobile
The latest version of eMaint Mobile (4.5.0) brings several enhancements that make mobile work management more powerful and user-friendly:
- Drill-Down Flexibility: Users can now select a “Not Set” option in drill-downs, allowing navigation even when a parent value is missing.
- Form Control: Only forms marked “Available for Mobile” in X5 will appear in the app, keeping mobile workflows clean and relevant.
- GPS Location Logging: Technicians can log their location while working on a Work Order — online or offline — for better traceability and compliance.
- Redesigned Actions Menu: A new bottom-up layout improves clarity and ease of use.
- Close Validation: Admins can now require completion of related entity fields before a Work Order can be closed on mobile.
eMaint X5 Web Updates
This month’s X5 release focuses on usability improvements and workflow flexibility across the platform:
- Cycle Count Fixes: Resolved issues with zero-value counts and manual batch selections to ensure accurate submissions and status updates.
- Blind Count Mode: New option to hide “On Hand” quantities during counts for more objective inventory checks.
- Improved Date/Time Picker: A cleaner, more accessible selector now appears across the platform, no setup required.
- Command Palette Upgrades: Favorites, keyboard shortcuts, and a new Back button make navigation faster and more intuitive.
- Line Number for PO Items: A new field helps track and reference items within each Purchase Order more clearly.
- Cross-Site Part Transfers: A new interface allows seamless part transfers between sites, improving inventory accuracy and visibility.
- Document Count on Forms: Users can now immediately see how many documents are attached to a record. No need to open the section.
- Login/Logout Events in Security Logs: These events are now reportable, supporting better audit tracking.
- ‘Effective From’ Field for Scheduled WOs: A new field separates future scheduling from historical data, improving planning and accuracy.
