🚀 Exciting New Features in eMaint X5: Smarter Navigation, Better Data Control, and More Transparency
Hi there! I’m happy to introduce some powerful new features in eMaint X5 that are designed to make your day-to-day work easier, faster, and more insightful. Whether you’re managing inventory, navigating the system, or tracking changes, these updates give you even more control and visibility than before.
📤 Export Your Critical Parts List with One Click
You can now export your critical parts list for cycle counting directly to Excel. Just head to the “Parts to be counted” section and click the new Export button. The file includes all the key details—site, part, location, count status, and more—so you can easily analyze or share the data with your team.
⚡ Navigate Like a Pro with the New Command Palette
I’m especially excited about this one. The new Command Palette gives you lightning-fast access to everything in the system. Just press CTRL+K, CTRL+SHIFT+P, or double SHIFT to open it. From there, you can jump to any menu, report, entity, or setting—no more clicking through layers of navigation.
And thanks to fuzzy search, even if you don’t remember the exact name of what you’re looking for, the system will still help you find it.
🛠️ See Exactly Why SWOs Were Recalculated
We’ve improved the audit trail for Scheduled Work Orders (SWOs). Now, when intervals are adjusted and a recalculation happens, you’ll see exactly what triggered it and which Work Orders were affected. For example, if the schedule adjusts unneeded work orders will be updated to a void status. This makes it much easier to track changes and understand the impact of system updates and improve reporting.
✅ Make Sure Required Fields Are Completed Before Closing
You can now enforce that select fields on related entities are filled out before a Work Order can be closed. This is a great way to ensure that all necessary data is captured. If something’s missing, the system will flag it and let you know what needs to be completed.
🗃️ Preserve Future Work Orders with “Voided” Status
Previously, recalculations would delete “Future” Work Orders, making them hard to trace. Now, they’re automatically voided and archived instead. That means you can still view them in reports and audit logs—giving you a complete picture of what’s happened.
Just a quick note: this feature needs to be enabled by your Customer Success Manager, and once it’s on, it can’t be turned off. But if you rely on Future Work Orders, it’s a great way to maintain visibility and data integrity.
